We stayed a night at the Risboro Hotel. It is a budget hotel, the friendly staff & fun show made up for this. We were 2 adults 1 x6 week old baby & an 8 year old. The car park & lift were a great asset. We parked our car & didn't need to move it until we checked out. There were about 8 steps upto the hotel & staff helped us up with the cases & pram. We were so grateful. Made our stay much easier. We had dinner show & breakfast included which was a great bonus & fun. Breakfast was buffet style but hot & good choices . When we checked out, staff again helped us tremendously with pram & bags. So a big thank you to all at the Risboro. We were told by a member of staff that you are getting new beds. That would be great & we would return
Of course the hotel feels a bit dated and the floorboards are creaky. But you probably knew that before even booking. However I'm here to tell you that besides that, this was a great hotel! Firstly the staff are very friendly and the whole place has a welcoming vibe to it. We booked two rooms between us and both of our rooms were very clean, one had a bath while the other did not, so keep that in mind. Both had warm water. As you might expect there is a mild smell of smoking in the hallways, however the rooms themselves had no bad odour, in-fact they smelled noticeably quite nice on entry! Lift works just fine, seen some other reviews saying it doesn't work, as of April 2024 it is working. Location couldn't be much better if you're visiting Llandudno, no more than a two minute walk into town or to the beach. Also for the incredibly low price we paid, breakfast was included and was very good, in a well laid out dining room! Would recommend to those looking for a budget friendly stay in Llandudno!
I stayed here with my partner, as part of a large group (Wigan Ukulele group) and had a great time. Whilst the hotel could do with some tlc, it was very clean and the room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and the evening meals were delicious and filling. The cost of drinks was, by hotel standards, reasonable too. The staff were outstanding too: friendly, smiley, happy and so helpful. An added bonus was the fun evening entertainment. For the money paid, I cannot fault this hotel and I would stay there again - much more fun than a bland, corporate budget hotel like Ibis etc.
